designer october 2016 to present
Currently, I'm a designer for MBB+ Advertising. I was a jr. designer for about two months before my skills kicked that abbreviation away. I work on a variety of clients throughout the agency including pro-bono work, but my mouse predominately falls on a local Coca-Cola bottler, Chinet disposable tablewear, and Niagara spray starch. During my daily grind, I'm concepting and creating posters, social posts, landing pages, banner ads, t-shirts, print ads, keynotes... and well you get the idea.
sullivan higdon & sink
art director intern june 2016 to august 2016
Summer art director intern and part-time sheephater for a full-service advertising agency in Kansas City on their Merial® team. In close collaboration with senior art directors and copywriters, I created and implemented everything from social media posts to websites to email marketing materials to even designing a coffee cup. I did all that and still had time to make the office coffee every morning.
true/false film festival
boone dawdle lead designer may 2016 to august 2016
Lead Designer for the True/False's fundraising event, the annual Boone Dawdle, a day of biking, drinking and watching a great documentary. As the lead designer, I created all the materials for the event including passes, shirt designs, sponsorship plans, and any other thing that came across my desk (or couch, if I'm being honest).
Before advertising, I worked pretty much exclusively at the local paper in Columbia, Mo. in a bunch of different roles: designer, teaching assistant and creative director.
I cut my teeth immediately in college on layout and design with The Maneater, the student newspaper at Mizzou. Second semester there, I managed production.
I had the opportunity to study abroad in Brussels, Belgium and interned for SWIFT's internal communications team. It's easier if you just google what they do.
